I wrote this simple post about usb web cam drivers because I lately had probably the same probelm like you. You bought a new webcam and now you want to install your new device. The problem: you can’t find the usb driver. Try check if a CD is attached with the necessary web cam driver. Then install it from your CD. These are the original and probably the best drivers out there.
If this is now working try to go to the official website of the manufacturer and download the latest version of your web cam driver. (That means the youngest file) You’ll hopefully find your usb web camera driver in the support area. The main manufacturers of webcams are logitech, hp, miscrosoft and creative.
